Our recipe for aGreen Company.

Respecting animals means respecting the environment.
Come closer
and discover sustainability the Monge way.

Discovering hot water

We heat our entire production site by reusing the hot water and steam that we need for the production process.

Zero-km cans

We produce all our empty cans in-house, and they are, like our trays, infinitely recyclable. This means we can keep the transport of materials to a minimum, and the only thing that ‘goes the distance’ is quality.

Energy made in Monge

The photovoltaic panels on the roof of the plant and our Kawasaki turbine mean, on the one hand, we can self-produce almost 80% of the energy we need, and, on the other, we can save the planet more than 1,000 tonnes in CO2 every year.

Delivering respect

Not only are the vehicles we use to transport our products our own, but they are also ecologically-advanced and often fuelled by LNG. Optimising transport routes also means we can reduce consumption and emissions even further.

Pet Food quality and safety certification

International quality mark that certifies that the role of the international supply chain is secure with customs control procedures that meet company standards and criteria as an Authorized Economic Operator.
BRCGS is a specific global standard for agri-food safety.
The aim of the certification is to ensure the quality and safety of the food products offered to consumers by suppliers and grocery retailers, to create trust throughout the supply chain.
IFS standards guarantee:
(a) products conform to customer specifications, with constant improvement in the processes employed; (b) compatibility and transparency for the consumer throughout the supply chain; (c) reduction of management costs for suppliers, retailers and distributors.
Sedex is a non-profit organization committed to disseminating principles that promote an ethical code of conduct along global supply chains. SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is the world's leading social audit. It allows companies to appraise suppliers in order to understand work conditions along their supply chain, and see how the company site measures up in terms of health, safety, the environment, and the business code of conduct.
Environmental management standards helping the company to:
(a) minimize any adverse effects operations might have on the environment;
b) comply with environmental legislation, and other requirements;
(c) Continuously improve all of the above.
The most internationally-recognised Quality Management System (QMS) standard worldwide. It provides a framework and set of principles that ensure a common sense approach to running the business in order to consistently satisfy customers and stakeholders.
The standard outlines what is required to define, set up, implement, maintain and improve an energy management system.
The aim is to follow a systematic approach to improving energy performance: efficiency, safety, and energy use and consumption.
The standard certifies that all pet food produced by Monge complies with limits set out in NO GMO legislation. This is carried out by using controlled raw materials from carefully-selected suppliers to guarantee the source and traceability.
Attention to quality and food safety are solid commitments undertaken by Monge.
